I don't know if this belongs here. But before you assume only the elite have no empathy watch this.

I have often wondered, why so much animal abuse, and why are people who disprove considered subversive.

Supermarkets are full of meat, with only a small section for meat free. Vegans have to read the ingredients on the packaging, because they sneak in animal based ingredients into foods that shouldn't have them. Vegans and vegetarians are mocked  

Could it be that the demonic entities that the elite worship need the blood sacrifice from animal abuse?
