Hi,

I am in St. Marie Montana. I have been ordering certified organic, certified seed with a germination rate of 98% or better. There is no link to send to you. I live here, and I went to pick up my order, when I was told how the kidney beans went from $37.00 to $300.00 because of the floods and drouts. Than I found out why it is such a huge price change. It is because so many farmers had already planted crops, when they broke the levies and started flooding farm land. Well when the land drys out thay will NOT be able to plant there intended crop, and will have to plant an alternative crop. Timing is everything, and the crops that will be alternative crops will have to be short growth time crops, rather than the longer time crops. Like if there red winter wheat had been wiped out, they will have to grow beans because it will be the only thing that they have time for. However the really sad part is, there are not enough seeds to go around, therefore the farmers that want to grow food this year have to pay a fortune to do so! The reason there are not enough seeds to go around is because lots of farmers already planted, so the seeds were in the ground, and destroyed that way.

Not real cool ha! Not fair at all.

Writing this from Montana!

Pam, "I have just put in a 3m x 3m x 1/2m vegetable plot. I'm no gardener. My soil is made-up of 34 bags of cow manure, river sand, garden ash soil mix, one bale of grass, some blood and bone mix, and gypsum. I have just planted some white potatoes, white onions, sweet-potatoes, pumpkin, chokos, capsicum, passion-fruit, custard apple tree, and a papaw tree. Also I want to grow Tommy Toe Tomato and Snow Pea. I also want to stock-up on seeds just in-case there is a food shortage, because we're in for a hard-time?
