Life-sized fetus dolls included with kids' candy at state fair

Last weekend, kids at the North Dakota State Fair parade got an extra goodie in their free candy bags: a life-size, squishy fetus toy. Many parents were surprised to find their kids holding "The Precious One," a 10- to 12-week fetal model, because they hadn't given anyone permission to give the toys or informational pamphlets (which said things like: "Week 1: conception, the baby is smaller than a grain of sugar.") to their children. "My kids can read," said Amber Mendez, one mother at the event. "I shouldn't have to explain to 5- and 6-year-olds what abortion is at a family event. I doubt these people would be allowed to hand out condoms to little kids." The fetus dolls were distributed by the Minot, North Dakota, local Right to Life chapter.
