Today we have to really search our hearts and souls and decide what makes our country different than some others where human rights are violated. Sure we have uncountable blessings but what good are all of these if we fail in the arena of human rights? Who are we if we allow torture of the human being? Who are we if we condemn the use of the death penalty for offenses in another country while not condemning the use of it in our own? What makes us different? Who do you want to be? Who? These are the questions I wish that we would contemplate. The death penalty comes from the same place as other atrocities like stoning. Now it is also known that we are a country of torture. Torturing people openly and also secretly. Who do we want to be?

DEMAND THE TRUTH!

"It was the poverty caused by the bad influence of the
English Bankers on the Parliament which has caused in the colonies hatred of the English and...the Revolutionary War."
– Benjamin Franklin

"Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect every one who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined."

Patrick Henry
