Universal Declaration of Human Rights Article 3

"Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person." 

It's U.S. citizens who perpetrate these violations against travelers and it's citizens who fund it which makes them entirely responsible for it under the doctrine of E pluribus unum ~ "out of many, one". 

If you're a U.S. citizen and object to the fact that you are violating the security of countless millions of travelers and wish to no longer do so consider the following: 

United Nation’s International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. PART I Article 1 ~ 1. “All peoples have the right of self-determination. By virtue of that right they freely determine their political status and freely pursue their economic, social and cultural development.” 

Definition of self-determination from Cornell University Law School:

“Self-determination denotes the legal right of people to decide their own destiny in the international order. Self-determination is a core principle of international law, arising from customary international law, but also recognized as a general principle of law, and enshrined in a number of international treaties. For instance, self-determination is protected in the United Nations Charter and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights as a right of “all peoples.”

This is an age old principle of forming something new and isn’t very complicated. What it takes is a competent comprehension of contracts and especially of The Law of Nations because it all boils down to contracts and treaties (which is a contract between nations
