On Thursday, a federal appeals court approved the controversial "stop-and-frisk" policy employed by the New York Police Department. A US District Court judge deemed the policy unconstitutional in August for unlawfully targeting minorities. Scheindlin, citing impropriety from the bench after Scheindlin made opinionated comments on stop-and-frisk to the media.
